Ecobank Zimbabwe Issues Statement on Armed Robbery at Parkade Branch

Ecobank Zimbabwe has released an official statement regarding an armed robbery incident that occurred at its Parkade Branch in Bulawayo on 3 October 2024.

The bank confirmed that armed robbers targeted the branch during a cash repatriation operation by a security company. Ecobank Zimbabwe expressed deep concern about the event and stated they are actively working with local law enforcement to ensure a thorough investigation.

Moses Kurenjekwa, Managing Director and SADC Cluster Head of Ecobank Zimbabwe Limited, reassured customers and the general public that immediate measures have been taken to enhance security and response protocols across all branches.

“The safety and security of our customers and staff remain our utmost priority,” Kurenjekwa stated in the release.
