PRESIDENT Emmerson Mnangagwa will be sworn-in on Sunday after the country’s Constitutional Court upheld his victory in the disputed July 30 election and dismissed with costs a challenge by his main rival.

Chief Justice Luke Malaba said the nine-member bench was unanimous in the decision.

“The court finds that the applicant has failed to place before it, clear evidence of irregularities. The application is dismissed with costs. “Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa is duly declared the winner of the presidential elections held on the 30th of July 2018,” said Chief Justice Luke Malaba.

Officials later said Mnangagwa will be sworn-in on Sunday.
