DURBAN – The death toll in the KwaZulu Natal floods has risen to 51.
The KwaZulu Natal Cooperative Governance MEC Nomusa Dube-Ncube confirmed on Wednesday morning that the number of deaths has increased.
Torrential rains, which have lashed the province, have also caused structural damage to homes and roads infrastructure.
President Cyril Ramaphosa landed in the province on Wednesday morning after his trip from Egypt.
Dube-Ncube said disaster management services will continue searching for survivors.
