A KNIFEMAN injured seven people, two seriously, in a terrifying stabbing rampage on a bus in the German city of Lubeck.
Police in the city, in the northern state of Schleswig-Holstein, said a major police operation was under way.
A suspect has been arrested after the stabbings in the northern city of Luebeck on Friday afternoon.
He said authorities were still trying to determine the circumstances of the attack.
“There is currently a major police deployment in Luebeck,” the force wrote on Twitter.
“We are examining the situation and will give more information later.”
Witness Lothar, 87, said: “The passengers jumped out of the bus screaming, it was terrible, and then the injured were taken away.”
