A high-powered delegation from the Communist Party of China (CPC) is in the country as a follow up to the visit by President Emmerson Mnangagwa to China in April this year.
The visit to China by President Mnangagwa continues to yield positive results as different groups from the Asian giant are making follow up visits for the purpose of finalising the deals signed between the two countries.
A group led by the Secretary of the CPC Mr Che Jun had a closed door meeting with Vice President Retired General Constantino Chiwenga at his ministry of defence offices.
Mr Che Jun said they are in the country to discuss on the implementation of areas of cooperation.
Vice President Chiwenga said the visit by the Chinese delegation is expected to expedite the implementation of the agreements signed between President Mnangagwa and his Chinese counterpart President Xi Jinping.
Another Chinese delegation visited the country last month, an indication of the seriousness by the Chinese government in the economic revival of Zimbabwe.
