On Saturday the 9th of December MDC-T members gathered together with families and friends for a Christmas party.

An estimate of about 80 people braved the bad weather and came to the fundraiser.

The sole reason for the party was to fundraise for the upcoming 2018 elections in Zimbabwe.

Discussions where about the situation in Zimbabwe, noting how people celebrated when Mugabe resigned but that was not what the Zimbabweans wanted. Zimbabweans want a complete change of government. Therefore it is important that people get out and register to vote next year.

The chairman, Mr Tonderai Samanyanga emphasised that Mugabe is now gone as everybody wanted him gone, but was replaced by Emmerson Mnangagwa who is more or less what Robert Mugabe is.

He said “Zimbabweans need a change and that change can only be seen when Zanu-PF is gone and that can only be achieved by voting for change next year.”
