The RAF killed or injured 4,315 enemy fighters in Iraq and Syria between September 2014 and January this year, official data seen by Report Focus,
The figures, obtained in a Freedom of Information request by the research charity Action On Armed Violence, claim 2,994 of the deaths are in Iraq, with 235 wounded. In Syria, they report 1,019 were killed with 67 others wounded.
The report showed there has been one civilian casualty during the airstrikes against so-called Islamic State.
An MOD spokesperson said: “After every British airstrike we conduct detailed battle damage assessment, which thoroughly examines the outcome of the strike against its target, be it Daesh fighters, weapons, or bases.
“This assessment also looks very carefully at whether or not there has been any civilian casualty or damage to civilian infrastructure.”
