Addressing a press conference in New York on Wednesday evening, US president Donald Trump said that China respects his ‘very, very large brain.’ while also accusing the country of trying to interfere in the upcoming US congressional elections.

The unexpected claim came after the United States President had accused China of meddling in America’s upcoming midterm elections, while he chaired the United Nations Security Council for the first time.

Trump cited Mr Pillsbury who appeared on ‘a good show,’ as the source for his remarks. He was referring to Michael Pillsbury, the director of the conservative think tank, the Center on Chinese Strategy, at the Hudson Institute.

Pillsbury appeared on Fox News speaking about China and Trump. Though his comments weren’t entirely as Trump recounted them.
