A Smart Tours Motors bus travelling between Masvingo and Beitbridge was yesterday involved in an accident that claimed the six lives of passengers.
It is not known what caused the accident but it appears the bus veered off the road and overturned
The bus was carrying 49 passengers. Many of the seriously injured people were taken to an area hospital. One trauma centre reported getting six patients, with three in critical condition.
Relatives with passengers on the bus have been urged to urgently check about their welfare with the local police and hospitals
