The Juventus star controlled Gonzalo Higuain’s pass with his chest, and with his back to goal produced an overhead kick to beat Real Madrid goalkeeper Keylor Navas.
The goal came at a very good time for the Serie A champions after Cristiano Ronaldo had put Los Blancos ahead early on.
Ronaldo’s goal made him the first player to score in three Champions League finals.
But all the talk heading into half-time was the sheer brilliance of Mandzukic’s goal.
