As President Emmerson Mnangagwa continues to battle criticism from all and sundry with regards his handling of the crises in Zimbabwe, from economic issues, fuel shortages and now cyclone Idai.

The exiled former Cabinet Minister and G40 kingpin Professor Jonathan Moyo has claimed that he has evidence proving that President Emmerson Mnangagwa only managed to garner 33% in the disputed 2018 Presidential Elections.
The leader of the Movement for Democratic (MDC) Alliance Mr. Nelson Chamisa has always disputed the election results and has never recognised Mnangagwa as the legitimate leader of Zimbabwe.

Proffessor Moyo has ignited the debate on the disputed ZEC results which officially said Mnangagwa gannered 50.8% while his rival Nelson Chamisa of MDC got 44.3%.

In a posted on his official microblogging platform twitter Proffessor Moyo said:

“There’s now incontrovertible evidence that Mnangagwa got just 33% of the presidential vote in the 30 July 2018 elections. Waiting for Luke Malaba to give the promised ‘FULLY DRESSED JUDGMENT’ to be given ‘IN DUE COURSE’. And a can of worms will be opened!”

It is still not clear what Moyo holds as his ace but this surely adds more pressure on President Mnangagwa who seems to be struggling to hold things steady in Zimbabwe.

His opponents have said the president seems more comfortable outside Zimbabwe than staying at home. Mnangagwa has had unprecedented number of trips outside Zimbabwe, since he came to power post the November 2017 coup.
