At least 94 people were hospitalised in Israel following overnight missile strikes launched by Iran, Israel’s Health Ministry said on Wednesday.
Among those injured, one person is in moderate condition, 85 sustained minor injuries, and five remain under medical evaluation, with their condition not yet determined.
According to Israel’s Channel 12, the missile strikes caused damage to a building in central Israel, and firefighters were called to extinguish fires in 20 vehicles. In northern Israel, missile fragments reportedly hit a building, while falling debris triggered multiple fires in open areas.
The escalation comes amid growing regional tensions. On Friday, Israel launched airstrikes on several sites in Iran, including military and nuclear facilities. Tehran responded with a wave of retaliatory missile attacks.
Israeli authorities report that at least 24 people have died and hundreds more have been injured in Iranian attacks since the exchange began. Meanwhile, Iranian state media claim 585 people have been killed and more than 1,300 injured in Israeli strikes.
The situation continues to unfold amid international calls for restraint and efforts to de-escalate the growing conflict.
