Iran threatens to blow up the White House

January 5, 2020

Iran has threatened to attack the White House in response to President Donald Trump’s warning that any strike on American interests in the region will bring massive retaliation.

The threat was issued by Iranian MP, Abolfazl Abutorabi during an open session of parliament in Tehran, Iran, the country’s Labour News Agency reports

President Donald Trump had warned that any attack on American interests by Iran will bring massive retaliation.

Reacting to Trump’s warning, Abutorabi said: “We can attack the White House itself, we can respond to them on the American soil. We have the power, and God willing we will respond in an appropriate time.

“This is a declaration of war, which means if you hesitate you lose.
‘When someone declares war do you want to respond to the bullets with flowers? They will shoot you in the head.”
Recall that a US airstrike had killed an Iranian General, Qassem Soleimani.
The strike had killed Soleimani, who is the Revolutionary Guard General and head of the elite Quds Force, at Baghdad International Airport.

The strike also killed Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, the deputy commander of the Iran-backed militias in Iraq, the Popular Mobilization Forces, which recently stormed the US embassy in Baghdad.

Soleimani’s killing had sparked rumour of a third world war likely to start between the US and Iran.
