Harare- The Late founding President of Zimbabwe, Robert Mugabe who passed on last Friday will be buried in Harare on Sunday.
There had been confusion as to when the veteran leader would be buried but reports coming from a meeting between family members and the government have suggested that he will be interred at the National Heroes Acre.
“There seems to be a headway despite some controversies around his burial. He will be buried at the national shrine” said a source
A delegation has been dispatched to Singapore to facilitate the repatriation of the former President’s body from Singapore. The delegation is led by Vice President Kembo Mohadi and they are expected in the country on Wednesday.
Mugabe was on Friday declared a national hero by President Mnangagwa however there has been some controversy as to where he will be buried with some family members claiming he will be buried at his Village in Kutama.
There were also conflicting reports that the veteran leader had said he did not want the current administration of President Mnangagwa to preside over his burial following his controversial ouster from power.
