Zanu PF Midlands province is targeting to mobilise more than 100 000 people for the President’s Youth Convention Conference slated for this Thursday in Gweru.
It is a hive of activity in the Midlands capital of Gweru as Zanu PF youths from across the province prepare for the convention that is set to bring a bumper crowd at Mkoba open space near Mkoba Teachers College.
The youth convection comes at a time when the party has moved a gear up in mobilising people across the country in preparation for the 2018 harmonised elections.
Zanu PF Youth Provincial Commissar Simbarashe Mutukwa said preparations are underway and the province will mobilise to its capacity.
He said as youths they lined up a number of issues they will bring to the attention of the President, chief among them economic empowerment and employment creation.
Midlands Provincial Affairs Minister Cde Owen Ncube expressed satisfaction with the preparations, adding that the province is ready and excited to meet with the President.
The youths are expecting to articulate social, economic and political issues affecting them.
