President Mnangagwa leaves to attend the 48th World Economic Forum

President Emmerson Mnangagwa has left for Davos, Switzerland to attend the 48th World Economic Forum.

He is accompanied by the Minister of Finance and Economic Planning Cde Patrick Chinamasa, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Retired Lieutenant General Sibusiso Moyo, Mines and Mining Development Minister Winston Chitando and Minister of Industry, Commerce and Enterprise Development Dr Mike Bimha.

The President is also accompanied by several government officials including presidential spokesperson George Charamba and presidential advisor Chris Mutsvangwa.

Some captains of industry are already in Davos for the meeting which kicks off tomorrow and focuses on finding ways to re-affirm international cooperation in areas of mutual interest such as the global economy, international security, among other issues.

The president is one of 10 head of states and government from Africa invited to the conference which is being held under the theme: “Creating A Shared Future In A Fractured World”.
