NEW LONDON — President Donald Trump finally admits in a tweet that there are no tapes between him and James Comey. The tweet comes after House Intelligence gave a deadline for the raised question, where he waited 41 days to answer. But the certainty that he’s telling the truth is questionable, even though the investigation must go on. This has done nothing to help Trump’s trustworthiness among Americans and only makes the ongoing investigation worse. Trump started this hunt on his own, tweeting more than a month ago that former fired FBI Director James Comey better hope there are not any ‘tapes’ between himself and Comey.
Trump tweeted just Thursday: “[1] With all of the recently reported electronic surveillance, intercepts, unmasking and illegal leaking of information, I have no idea…[2]…whether there are “tapes” or recordings of my conversations with James Comey, but I did not make, and do not have, any such recordings.” — @realDonaldTrump, Twitter
Another worry for The Trump Administration is already being five conservative senators disapproving of the new GOP Healthcare bill. Those politicians being: Rand Paul of Kentucky, Ted Cruz of Texas, Mike Lee of Utah, Ron Johnson of Wisconsin and just announced Dean Heller of Nevada. Who expressed his concerns on the floor saying:
“I have serious concerns about the bill’s impact on the Nevadans who depend on Medicaid”.
Questions are also being raised if majority leader (R-KY) Mitch McConnell will push the bill to a vote sooner than planned. McConnell’s unveiling of the new Healthcare bill was unsettling to both sides of each party. As well as leaving Moderates and independents totally indecisive about who this benefits and how many people with pre-existing conditions will be left out. A number that’s been spewed around for months now is saying around twenty million people will lose access to Healthcare or will not have healthcare at all.
This will affect people with physical and mental illness, access to medicines and pharmaceuticals, and people who do have Healthcare will have much higher premiums. For example, one pre-existing condition being Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) which most veterans suffer from will not be covered. Even though campaign Trump made a promise to help out our 50,000 homeless veterans and the veterans who are deeply suffering from post-war illness. This does not seem the case for the 142 page bill that will bury Obamacare and replace it with Trumpcare within a three year period.
Republicans had a whole Obama-era to create a GOP styled Healthcare bill that would bring back health to Americans and show other countries that we don’t need universal healthcare. Even if Trump said Australia’s universal healthcare was quote “beautiful”.
