A School teacher has been accused of having sex up to 40 times with a high school football player including a threesome with a colleague.

The fast and furious relationship between former Destrehan High School English teacher Shelley Dufresne, 34, and her then-16-year-old male student began with simple flirting, a prosecutor said as her trial began Tuesday (April 25) in Jefferson Parish.

Shelley Dufresne, aged 34, is standing trial accused of two counts of carnal knowledge of a juvenile in Destrehan, Louisiana in 2014.

The mother-of-three was the student’s 11th grade English teacher and is alleged to have had sex with him after he finished football practice in her car and home.

One of these encounters is said to have involved another teacher, Rachel Respess, 26, whose case will be heard next month.

The threesome is alleged to have taken place after Dufrense took the student to Respess’s apartment where they had sex multiple times, including with Respess, reports Nola.com.

However, Dufrense’s lawyer denied this was the case, claiming the 16-year-old could not get an erection.

The court heard how the teenager filmed a video of Respess after she had passed out and then showed it to other students which led to officials investigating the incident.

Dufresne’s defense attorney Kim McElwee said the boy blackmailed her client with nude photos.and criticised the court for not punishing the teen for filming Respess without her permission, even though he was a minor.

The court heard how the teacher communicated with the student through a fake Facebook account entitled Madison Mexicano with a cover photo reading ‘I love Mexican boys’,.

After their first alleged encounter behind a strip mall she is said to have written ‘good morning sexy.’
